[Guide]Adjusting Max Camera Distance (Good for Operations)

Feel like your camera distance isn't far enough even though its set to maximum in game? Well, you can edit an .ini file to push your camera even farther.

Go to: C:\Users\YOURWINDOWSUSERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings

(alternatively you can type %appdata% into the start menu, and then go back to Local)

Then you want to select the file named: UserName_Account

UserName = your login name for your SWTOR account.

The file should have:

The line "Controls_CameraMaxDistance = 25.0" is the one you want to edit.

Select values of 1.0 to 100.0 (think of this as a percent, and include the ".0"). I've found that 40+ is wayyyyyy to far, so I use 30.0 myself.

After you've adjusted, save and exit, and launch the game and enjoy further zooming out of your camera.

I can attest that you NEED this for operations imo (melee or ranged). Does take a tad big of getting used to though.

Highly recommend anyone whether they are a Tank, DPS, or a Healer to do this. helps again those times where you being gang-raped against a wall and realize after the fight you were actually face the wrong way the whole time.
