I bet there will be a day in the future when people will look back at the 'Enhance!" joke and think it silly because of what they limited to being enhanced, because during their future, 'enhance' will mean restoring pretty much an entirely damaged picture and then catching and tracing all reflections from the image to then simulate an image of what was behind the camera based on the reflection of photons of various surfaces.

Great tool; the effect is amazing, but what ever happened to learning the old aperture - shutter speed - ISO/ASA ratio? I taught myself photography on a 70's Canon, and that was years after DSLRs has appeared on the market, and before hipsters came out of hiding. I love technologically and I would probably find myself using this tool at some point, but I think sometimes it cheapens the appreciation for photography as an art form.

Also, it's not that freaking hard to take a clear picture in day light.

I dunno Schwarz, i think the future enhance would just use sub-atomic wormholes to connect your brain with the memory banks of other peoples brains who've been there and just recreate the entire scene with smells, sounds, tastes and textures, putting you into a sort of virtual reality not unlike the matrix....OMG! :fuuuuu:

The art of being a good photographer will be lost because technology will be able to do that shit for us.

It will go the way of all lost arts, like vinyl records and calligraphy.

The type writer make writing in cursive less useful. This technology makes old style apertures more useful. Its only a matter of time before high resolution CCD cameras replace film entirely.

I could imagine a camera in the near future which will be able to rapidly cycle through a focus while taking a picture and then allow the image taken to have modified focus after its been taken so that you can focus during the editing of the shoot instead of focusing during the capture.

But in essence, all technology does. It lessens the burden of the user to achieve what they want to do. We lost the art of walking long distances when we learned to domesticate horses and then made cars.

Good point schwarz, not unlike movies nowdays. They do it all in digital now and then edit in scratches and what not to give it the old 'film' style look we see in the theaters. Isn't that crazy? They have to screw up the images so it's more believable. haha. :2lol:
